Quote: Fairbnb’s Thorben Wieditz (from left), Kensington Market Land Trust’s Dominique Russell and Serena Purdy of Friends of Kensington Market. A group that launched a vigorous fight to regulate Toronto's short-term rental market has received a $132,710 grant from CMHC to, guess what, start its own short-term rental platform. Thank you to everyone who came out to our first Jane's Walk this weekend. You were a great crowd, fantastic questions and so much energy to start doing neighbourhood organizing in every corner of the city. Looking forward to meeting everyone who plans to come to our walk tomorrow! See you at 1pm!
We're shooting some videos about our story buying our first building this week. Can't wait to show you all that we've been working on later this year!
